INVITE ME TO SPEAK TO YOUR LEADERS AND TEAMS ABOUT THE 52 DIFFERENT WAYS THAT LOVE CAN BE MADE VISIBLE AT WORK.
I love talking about how we can make love visible at work. I use science and research to make the case for making space for love at work. And beyond data, we know that people are moved by stories. So, I tell stories about love made visible at work.
I also love to talk about:
Trusting ourselves and others at work - Trust is one of the ways we communicate and live love at work. This keynote is about inspiring your people to lean back into trust – trusting themselves and trusting the people around them to have the courage to do the purposeful work of your organisation.
The courage to have hard conversations - Our conversations are our relationships. Leaning into hard conversations where we don’t know the outcome is an act of vulnerability. And it calls on us to choose courage over comfort. This keynote digs into the why, what and how of leading and sitting in these hard yet connecting conversations.
Embedding a thinking culture at work - We face a future that is volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous. It is not smart or effective to only have a handful of top leaders in your organisation doing the thinking. We need to inspire and embed a culture where every single member of our team is doing the thinking. To do this, we need to build our listening and coaching muscles. This talk goes to the heart of what it means to embed a truly empowered organisation.
A refugee love story - Arriving in Australia at the age of 14 as a political refugee from Iraq is etched into my identity. It is an essential part of who I am and has inspired and influenced my work. Invite me to speak to you about the power of connecting with the refugee story and our common humanity. Because it is true what Patti Digh says, “The shortest distance between two people is a story.”
A career love story - I remember being told, what is meant for you won’t miss you, when I was a miserable 20-something lawyer. Who is naive or courageous enough to believe this, I thought. Having changed careers and industries multiple times over my working life, I now subscribe to this saying. I speak about my father’s story of changing his career in the 80s from a teacher to a diplomat and how that inspired me to walk away from a successful legal career to follow my Ikigai.

I pay my respects to the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which I live, love, work and learn; the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. I pay my respects to their Elders, past, present and generations to come.
As a refugee to this country which we now call Australia, I acknowledge that I have benefited from its colonisation and have a shared responsibility to work towards recognition, respect and reconciliation.
It always was and always will be Aboriginal Land.
I acknowledge the enduring leadership, resilience, wisdom, kinship, culture and connection to Country of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
